I am frequently asked what one book to read next to learn more about the killers. I would definitely start with Dr. Robert Hare's classic psychopathy book, Without Conscience. He intended it for lay readers, and it works. He's got a talent for writing and it's an easy read, but not dumbed down.
After that, you have an extraordinary number of options. Here are my suggestions, grouped by category. Enjoy your exploration:
