Help Wanted:

The tech team is seeking two Forum members who can commit a little time and expertise to making our Forum run more smoothly.

Job 1: Familiarity with server and database administration/performance tweaking is desired. Problem solving skills and experience with MySQL and PHP are required. Our current host tech support is very helpful but we need an additional person who is knowledgeable enough to be able to ask for specific services from them.

Job 2: Experience with html and web page design are required. We want to improve the look of several web pages and need someone with both skill and patience who can work with us on this project.

The Daily Sheet is seeking volunteers to do the following tasks each
week.  If you're interested in trying one of these jobs, please contact
stilllearning and KittyHawk to tell them why you'd be good at the job.


Job 1. - Profiler
Find Forum members who are willing to submit a "Member Profile",
gather the profiles and submit so that the editor can select one each week,
and keep track of who has already been featured.

Estimated time per week = 1 hour



Job 2. - Thread Watcher
Watch various threads to look for possible submissions for the
"post of the day".

Estimated time per week = the time you usually spend on the Forum + 5
minutes to submit your ideas.



Job 3.- Format Tech
Provide technical assistance twice a week to find, upload, resize
pictures, and embed links for pictures, authors, articles, etc. Some
training available.

Estimated time per week = 1-2 hours


Job 4. - Tipster
All Forum members are welcome to submit story leads and ideas to the TDS editor,
stilllearning. No application necessary. Just submit your tips anytime to
stilllearning or the Respond to The Daily Sheet thread.
