In 1991 (I think), a dozen of my college friends and I set out to build a log cabin in Michigan's upper peninsula, near the Michigami Resevoir.
More joined in the next year. Much to our suprise, it stands. It took five years, but it's pretty cool.
Here are some pix of the first year and the finished product.
That's me in a big hole that I dug for the center beam. You can just barely see the shovel handle. I'm tired.
